The 10th Symposium on Biodegradable Metals will be held at the St. Catherine's College located at Oxford, United Kingdom.

We suggest you to consider arriving ON Sunday August 26.

Accommodations and additional nights

Housing and meals are included in your registration fee. You will be housed at St Catherine College from Sunday until Friday morning. Should you require additional nights, we will book it for you at one of the local lodging. Please contact us by email following your registration.

Travel Information

By plane

London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports are 75 Km and 130 Km respectively from the symposium venue. Both airports are deserved by many air carriers.

Airport Transfers/train. There is regular service from both airport to Oxford.

Airport Transfers/bus (best solution)

There are direct and regular services to Oxford from Heathrow and Gatwick airports operated by the Oxford Bus Company. There are also frequent buses, 24 hours a day, between London (Victoria Bus Station) and Oxford, run by the Oxford Bus Company  and the Oxford Tube. Coach services from other parts of the country are available with National Express and other providers.

By Car

Please note that the St Catherine College cannot provide any parking facilities.

From London and the East
Leave the M40 motorway at Junction 8 signposted Oxford A40. Continue for approximately 5 miles; the A40 meets the Green Road roundabout, go straight across, following signs for Headington and the City Centre; continue straight on for 2 miles through Headington until you reach another roundabout - The Plain - and take the last exit. Cross Magdalen Bridge, and at the traffic lights turn right into Longwall Street and take the first right into Manor Road after St Cross Church. Cross the river and you have arrived.

By Train

Trains run at least once an hour between Oxford and London, and twice an hour during peak times. For more information visit the National Rail Website.

On foot

St Catherine's is on the edge of the City Centre and we recommend that visitors arriving at the bus or train station take a taxi to the College, especially if they are bringing luggage. Walking from the City Centre to St Catherine's will take between 15 and 20 minutes or from the train station around 25-30 minutes.

Participants who require a visa to travel to United Kingdom need to submit their abstract and to register for the conference as early as possible to ensure that their VISA will be delivered in time. In any case, for any reason, 10th Biometal 2018 could not be considered responsible for a non-delivered or refused VISA.
